Associate Director, ATD

Holly Batts is associate director of ATD's Certification Institute and has more than 15 years of experience working in the nonprofit sector. Her background in developing and maintaining certification programs includes mid- to high-stakes assessments, extensive work with organizing SMEs, and a thorough understanding of the certification process. Holly holds a master of science degree in organizational leadership as well as Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Association Executive (CAE) certifications.


Nigel Gan, CPTD

Talent Management Specialist, UN AIDS

Nigel Gan is responsible for learning and development at the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS). Prior to this, he led instructional design and the Leadership and Gender Empowerment Training Portfolio at the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) Division for Prosperity, as well as holding roles in various government agencies. Nigel has developed and facilitated workshops around the world to learners from more than 90 countries. He is a Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) and an ATD Master Trainer and Master Instructional Designer.

Training Professional

Aya Medhat is an enthusiastic training professional living in Saudi Arabia. With 10+ years of experience managing training projects and learning activities, designing and delivering training on soft skills and technical topics based on the trainees needs. Aya works with external training providers, internal instructors and SMEs across seven countries.

Aya achieved her Certified Professional in Talent Develpoment (CPTD) credential in 2020 during the pilot for the new CPTD exam. She also held the Associate Professional in Talent Devleopment (APTD) prior to completing her CPTD certification.

Robert Marshall Bennin, CPTD, CFA, FIoD, is the founder and Chief Learning Strategist at TEMPLE Advisory, (www.thelearningtemple.com) a specialist talent development and strategy consulting firm focused on accelerating enterprise transformation. After spending a decade in consulting and corporate finance, Robert turned his attention to challenges at the intersection of markets, strategy and talent development with a distinct mission – to accelerate enterprise transformation. Since then, he has facilitated 600+ executive leadership development workshops for leading organisations in varied sectors such as Manufacturing, Hospitality, Financial Services, Non Profits, Education and Information Technology and the public sector. 

Robert is a Marshall Goldsmith Certified Executive Coach and holds the Certified Professional in Talent Development designation from ATD (U.S.A). He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst Designation from the CFA Institute (U.S.A). He is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors. He is also a Leadership Subject Matter Expert on the MBA Program at the African Leadership University School of Business in Rwanda.
