Don’t Experiment with Your Safety: Choosing the Right Lab Coat

Monday, October 22, 2018 1:00pm - 2:00pm EDT
Host: AIHA
By: Mark Saner, FR Technical Manager, Bulwark

Used for decades, lab coats have typically been made from polyester or polyester/cotton blends with the primary purpose of keeping foreign materials off the clothing worn under the coat. However, due to the number of accidents and injuries related to fire and clothing ignition, the use of FR lab coats in research and commercial labs has become an increasingly important component to lab safety.

In this webinar, we’ll take you through the basics of the chemical protection market, discuss common laboratory hazards, and highlight the difference between FR and non-FR lab coats.

You’ll learn:

  • The common laboratory hazards, chemicals and flammables.
  • Attributes of today’s lab coats.
  • The basics of FR/CP lab coats.
  • How to select the right lab coat.
