  • What does it take to be a good manager?
  • How can I develop the skills I need to succeed in a management role?
  • How can I tell if I would be successful in a management position?
  • What steps should I take now to position myself for a management track?

Dan Schwartz is the founder and chief education officer of the Ground Floor Leadership Institute (formerly College Coach Dan). He also is the author of Winning Strategies: Achieving Success in the Classroom, Career and Life, a contributor to Find Your Fit: A Practical Guide to Landing a Job You'll Love, and the author of a recent TD at Work issue, “Managing as a Ground Floor Leader.”

Dan has published several articles on leadership development, employee development, learning, and employee engagement.
