The federal government spends a lot of money on IT—$79 billion is allocated to federal IT spending in the FY15 budget alone. Government and industry learning managers now have the challenge of empowering their program and project managers to spend all that money effectively. This webinar examines new certifications that all program and project managers must earn, and explains (in non-techie speak) the differences between traditional and modular or agile project management, and what government and industry learning managers can do to ensure their IT and PM workforces become IT PM champions.

1. Attendees leave this webinar able to answer their fellow learning managers’ questions when they’re asked:
   a. “What is this ‘agile’ or ‘modular’ PM stuff I keep hearing about, anyway?”
   b. “What makes it so different from ‘traditional’ PM?”
   c. “How does it affect MY job as an L&D professional?”

2. Attendees will gain a working knowledge of both the updated FAC-P/PM certifications that OFPP mandates all Federal P/PMs must earn, and of the brand new FAC-P/PM-IT certification required of many IT-PMs.

3. Attendees will learn what makes the new training requirements such a complex L&D challenge, and what both Government and Industry learning managers can do to help their IT P/PMs to excel.

Mr. Bob Knight is the Vice President of Instruction and Training at the Federal Acquisition Certification Academy (FAC Academy) of Arlington, Virginia, where he is the lead instructor and course developer for the FAC Academy. Mr. Knight served as a Supply Officer/Program Manager in the U.S Navy for twenty years and has held Project Management Office positions at companies such as Sabre, Inc and Lockheed Martin Aeronautics.

Bob is a seasoned professional with a balanced portfolio of training, managerial and technical experience including program and project management, information technology, web site development and maintenance, information systems, data center operations, communications and network operations, supply chain management, strategic plans and architectures, inventory control systems, warehouse operations, transportation systems and logistic support. He is an experienced developer, manager and facilitator of program, project, acquisition and leadership management curricula. He has held certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) since 1996.
