Andrew  Bishop
Andrew Bishop

Manager - Learning and Development, Verizon

Andrew Bishop has been working with learning technology since the late 1990s when he hand-coded lesson plans in HTML and built the first online courses at Amazon.com. Along the way he’s been a classroom trainer, an e-learning developer, a people manager, and de facto product manager for internal learning applications at Verizon Wireless. His current product, the Learning Album, won a 2012 Silver award from Brandon Hall for best advance in unique learning technology. Andrew lives outside of Seattle with his wife and two daughters. He firmly believes that a humanities degree can prepare you for anything life throws your way, however he has recently taken up Kung Fu just in case.


Angela Blake
Angela Blake

Associate Director - Learning and Development, Verizon

Angela Blake is an associate director on Verizon's Corporate Leadership Development team. She leads the team responsible for the design, development, and delivery of executive education and top talent leadership development programs for Verizon's most senior leaders around the globe. Angela joined Verizon Wireless in 2008 during the acquisition of Rural Cellular Corporation (RCC). Since joining Verizon Wireless, Angela has led a variety of learning and development teams, including Divested Markets, held in regulatory status during the RCC and Alltel acquisitions; the New Product, Data, and Device Training Team; and the Development and Culture Team, where she led content development, learning strategies, and programs related to employee, manager, and leadership development. Angela began her career in telecommunications in 1996 and held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility and authority within customer service, marketing, and sales operations, eventually overseeing all of RCC's curriculum development and training delivery programs, including regulatory compliance, systems and operations, products and services, and new hire and soft skills development as training director. Angela holds a bachelor's degree in mass communications from Castleton State College and a master's degree in organizational leadership from Norwich University.


Dan Holdredge
Dan Holdredge

Manager - Learning and Development, Verizon

Dan Holdredge is a group manager in Verizon's learning and development organization. His responsibilities include curriculum development and delivery for Verizon's Outside Plant, Fiber Solution Center, Service Delivery and Assurance, and Information Technology communities. Dan has led his teams in creating innovative programs such as Tech in the Know, Construction Mobility, FiOS Quantum TV for installation techs, Critical Skills Assessment for Linemen, and has advanced numerous tablet-based training initiatives. Dan joined Verizon through its acquisition of MCI in 2006 and has served in both Verizon's Enterprise Solution and Consumer and Mass Business organizations. Prior to joining Verizon, Dan worked in various training roles with commercial, government, and nonprofit companies.
Dan has a master's degree in instructional technology and bachelor's degree in business administration from Bloomsburg University. He also holds PMP and ROI certifications.


Fraser Bowie
Fraser Bowie

Associate Director - Learning and Development, Verizon

Fraser Bowie has 20 years of professional experience as a graphic designer and user experience professional. He began his career as a graphic designer in advertising and for the past 16 years has been working on the user experience of websites. Fraser helped launch e-commerce sites for two retailers and deployed a number of other sites across industries, including pharmaceutical, financial, consulting, and healthcare. For the past eight years, Fraser has been focused on content management and informal learning. Prior to joining Verizon Wireless, Fraser worked in the healthcare space to improve the user experience of online health and wellness courses and information. At Verizon Wireless, Fraser and his team are responsible for improving the user experience of both formal and informal learning, and bringing innovative solutions to improve the learning and performance support delivery and use. He and his team brought social learning to Verizon Wireless with the introduction of the Device Forums, and worked to improve layout and access to materials, provide tools for roster management, and determine how to introduce learning through gamification. Fraser also led the effort to mobilize reference content and informal learning tools. Using feedback for the field, focus groups, and observations, Fraser and his team have designed and launched these tools, helping Verizon representatives increase their knowledge and improve their productivity.
